Sara Edmonds is an architect and passionate activist at the forefront of transforming the built environment for a zero-carbon future. As Head of Citizen Engagement at Built Environment – Smarter Transformation, she’s driving the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon world. Sara is also Co-Director of the National Retrofit Hub, where she works to scale up housing retrofit, and the Director of Studio seARCH, a consultancy focused on low-carbon domestic solutions. Co-founder of the Home Energy Action Lab (HEAL), Sara champions community-driven retrofitting initiatives and systemic change. With a deep commitment to tackling climate and ecological breakdown, she brings together grassroots action and top-down policy for meaningful impact. As a coordinator at the Architects Climate Action Network, she empowers the architecture profession to take urgent, bold action in the climate crisis. When she’s not advocating for change, Sara hosts the Accelerate to Zero Podcast, amplifying voices shaping a sustainable future.
