Daniel is an expert in municipal civic engagement, process design, and policy development, with extensive experience in fostering inclusive participation. As Stakeholder Engagement Lead in Toronto's City Planning Division, he introduced civic lotteries to involve equity-deserving communities in urban planning. Currently, as Manager of Public Consultation for Toronto's Parks and Recreation Division, Daniel has built an engagement practice that has connected nearly 200,000 residents with Toronto’s parks and recreation projects. A seasoned speaker in Europe and North America, he is also a trained facilitator and Partnership Broker, and teaches civic engagement at the University of Toronto.
