As a senior expert and project manager at the Municipality of Verona, Marco Buemi is dedicated to creating meaningful urban impact. With extensive experience in urban regeneration, social housing, and civic engagement, he has led key projects in Rome and Turin, identifying requalification opportunities and promoting the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups. In Turin, Marco also contributed to establishing an agency for social housing, bridging the gap between public needs and the private housing market. His work extends to Urbact projects, tackling challenges from enhancing civic participation to addressing gendered power structures in urban spaces. Prior to his current role, he worked on civic crowdfunding initiatives for the Metropolitan City of Bologna, empowering local communities through innovative funding models.  Marco is committed to designing projects that support disadvantaged areas and communities. He believes that structural and social revitalization will be one of the most pressing urban challenges in the years to come, and he remains at the forefront of creating inclusive, resilient cities.
