Étienne Métais is an Associate Director and Head of the Cities, States & Regions programme for CDP, a global non-profit organisation that runs a system for companies, cities, states, and regions to disclose their environmental impact. More than 19,000 companies and 1,100 locations use the programme, using their CDP scores to drive investment and procurement decisions in a move towards a zero carbon, sustainable, and resilient economy.
In 2018, the CDP and ICLEI merged their climate reporting platforms to form CDP-ICLEI Track, a way for municipalities to self-report. It has bene adopted by the likes of C40, Global Covenant of Mayors, EU initiatives, NetZeroCities, and many others.
